Summer Concert Series 2018

All that glitters is Gold at the 2018 City Center at White Plains Summer Concert Series.

We sifted through tons of music in the off season to fill our showcase with these ten nuggets: from Bourbon Street, Matthew Hartnett & The Gumbo All-Stars, from up north raucous, footstompin’ Upstate Rubdown (Americana, Jazz). With a crown jewel of a debut CD, Run Deep, Deva Mahal. The South feels like home with Texan Charley Crockett (Delta Blues, honky-tonk and more). Heavenly nights with Liz Vice (Roots, R & B) and Naomi Shelton & The Gospel Queens (Whip-smart Soul). Enchanting and stunning vocalist Shenel Johns, the charming songwriting/harmonizing California trio Maybe April (Americana, Indie folk), the grooving band Lohai featuring Alita Moses (Montreux Jazz Voice winner) and Devon Yesberger. Alphonso Horne seems to meld all of this American music into his brass trumpet, and his aptly named band, the Root Continuum.
